"No, Mom. I don't like scabbies so I have to get it off!"
"Well, if you can't leave it alone go find a band-aid to cover it with."
"Oh, good idea, Mom."
"My band-aid. Like it?" (Made of postage stamp border, a gem and tape.)
"That's the fanciest band-aid I've ever seen."
"Yep. Clara says it's deluxe!" He wore it for three days.
And while I'm at it, the sun peeked out for a moment this morning so I took some pictures of our yard from our kitchenette windows. I love this time of year when everything goes from drab and dormant to life and vibrance all at once. Below is the larger of two "tulip trees" which are next to each other, making a huge explosion of purplish pink. They are the kids' favorite climbing trees.
I wonder sometimes how we were so fortunate to be able to plant ourselves in such a beautiful corner of the world. Another place that caused me to feel that way was Iowa in the fall. Breathtaking.

Just another reason I love that Will.
I would TOTALLY wear a band aid all the time on MY forehead if it had all that bling!
I can't believe it's spring where you're at! We're making our way through a blizzard here!
OH. Iowa in the FALL... something I will miss SO MUCH!
that is one SNAZZY bandaid! Good job Clara!
William cracks me up. That face is awesome. :o)
We have a little purple leaf plum in our backyard that's slowly bursting into bloom . . . it's so nice to be back in the land of the living Spring, even if it's too cold and windy today to enjoy being outside.
Btw, I haven't forgotten about the prenatal herbs . . . off to email you!
hmmmmm...I don't find myself wondering that same thing about Vegas. One day I may appreciate its brown beauty, but until then I guess I will have to dream of Anna's tulip trees and Iowa in the fall!
I love how your kids are so expressive. I love the deluxe comment by Clara. You are such a fun mom. Who took the individual shots of your kids here?
Young Lady: why do you dress your son in Grateful Dead shirts? No wonder he inflicts wounds on himself. You both need help.
You should market those band aid deluxes. Kam would hurt herself more often if she could get one of those. Um, ok, so well be in Oregon in August for a week. Be ready for a little visit. Hopefully it's beautiful in August there as well.
